Obituary for Anita Ksiazek (Molczyk)

Anita Alice (Molczyk) Ksiazek was born in Albion, NE, June 24, 1941, to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Michael Molcyzk, Sr. and Anna (Barnas) Molczyk. Anita married Raymond S. Ksiazek, of Clarks, NE, September 7th, 1963, in St. Anthony’s Church in Columbus, NE, and lived in Lincoln, NE.

Anita Ksiazek grew up on the family farm near Albion, and performed many farm chores, such as feeding the chickens. She was known to babysit other children in her teenage years. In the late ‘50’s, the family moved to Denver Colorado, due to three straight, tough dry years on the farm. The family moved back to Columbus, NE and lived on “Lover’s Lane”. Anita became a graduate of St. Bonaventure High School. She then worked for Dale’s Electronics, followed by Becton Dickinson, in Columbus, NE, prior to being married.

The couple eventually moved from Lincoln to Omaha to finally Fremont, NE, where they lived for most of their lives. Anita lived at home, as a devoted mother, wife, and homemaker. She joined her husband Raymond in April 2021 at Nye Legacy Nursing Home, where she was so well loved and cared for by the staff. She mostly spent her days at the nursing home coloring, reading, playing games, and watching TV.

Anita ensured that trees were planted, no matter where she resided, as she enjoyed watching the domestic wildlife of birds, squirrels, and bunnies. Life was always better with trees. They even planted trees, in each our children’s names, at their 1st house in Fremont.

Anita loved visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her house was also home to having them visit and stay with them, on occasion. She also took care of Ray’s dad, when he was battling leukemia, and couldn’t stay at the farmhouse in Clarks, anymore.

She also liked to travel and visited Michael in South Carolina and Dan during his Army years. Trips were taken to California by train and plane, Estes Park, Pike’s Peak, Tetons, and Needles in Colorado, and Mount Rushmore, SD. They visited Branson, MO, as she enjoyed listening to country music. On occasion, she would accompany Ray, on business trips.

Anita was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in Fremont, making numerous time and monetary donations. She made many desserts, cakes, and other dishes for the St. Pat’s Annual Festival and for parish funerals. One year, the couple even won a car at the St. Pat’s parish festival and donated a portion of the cash equivalent, back to the church.
