Obituary for Betty Seagle
Betty Jean Seagle, 74 yrs, of Fremont, NE, passed away, May 24, 2023, at Keystone Ridge in Omaha.
She was born July 24, 1948, in Fremont, to William and Mildred (Punko) Tiede. She worked as a supervisor for Truck Haven and Oriental Trading Company in Fremont. For a few years, Betty drove the local cab in the Fremont area. She married Jerry Montanye and he preceded her in death in 2003.
Betty enjoyed spending time at the casinos and playing bingo. She was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Chicago Cubs. Politically she was a proud Republican. Most of all, she loved being with her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her 2 sons, Jerry and Kelly Montanye both of Fremont; daughter, Christina (Steven) Skibstead of Fremont; brother, Bill (Ruby) Tiede of Adrian, Minnesota; sisters, Marilyn Punko of Blair and Cheryl Schrader of Fremont; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Montanye; and sister, Julie Punko.
The Celebration of Life Service will be 10 A.M., Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate.
Memorials will be directed to the family.
