Obituary for Carolyn Washington
Carolyn M. Washington, 60, of Fremont, NE, passed away, April 16, 2021, at Methodist Fremont Hospital.
She was born September 8, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, to Willie and Frances (Washington) Thomas.
Carolyn graduated from Jean Baptiste Point Du Sable High School in 1978. She moved to Nebraska in 1999 and to Fremont in 2000. She married Cyrus “Mitch” Humphrey on November 19, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV.
Carolyn worked at HyVee for several years and Midland Lutheran College. She attended Full Life Assembly of God Church in Fremont. She was a teacher and liver of life. Carolyn enjoyed traveling with Mitch.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Mitch of Fremont; mother, Frances Washington of Fremont; brother, Lawrence of California; and niece, Marilyn Washington and her children of California.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Willie; twin sister, Marilyn Washington; and niece, Carolyn.
The Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time, Wednesday at the funeral home.
