Obituary for Chad Salyers
Chad L. Salyers, 53 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at his home.
Chad was born February 16, 1967 to Kerry and Sharon Kay (Burt) Salyers in Fremont. He grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School, class of 1985. During high school, Chad worked for Hinky Dinky and the Kwik Shop after graduating. He worked for Americold in Fremont for 32 years. On October 20, 1990, Chad married Debora Hinrichsen.
Chad had a great love for cars, including his 67’ GTO and 2013 Camaro. He loved to cruise in his cars and attend carshows. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles and playing league softball. Chad was an avid New England Patriots and Nebraska Cornhusker fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Ivan Hinrichsen.
He is survived by his wife Debora; son, Mitchell Brehm and significant other Kourtney Emmons of Fremont; daughters, Krista (Rick) Livingston of Cedar Bluffs, NE and Rachel (Jude Olney) Salyers of New York, NY; mother-in-law, Charleen Hinrichsen of Dawson, NE; brother-in-law, Roger (Darcy) Hinrichsen of Verdon, NE; grandchildren, Ryan Livingston, Morgan Livingston, Dylan Livingston, and Oliver Livingston all of Cedar Bluffs, NE; nephew, Troy (Debra) Hinrichsen; nieces, Tanya (Brent) Shubert, Terra (Tyler) Frank, and Tiffany Hinrichsen.
Memorial Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
