Obituary for Coleen Shanahan
Coleen M. Shanahan, 66 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at her home.
Coleen was born March 30, 1956 to James and Patricia (Sullivan) Casey in Omaha, NE. She grew up in Omaha. She attended college and earned a degree to become a paralegal. She started a cleaning business and had many clients throughout Omaha and Fremont. in 2010, she moved to Fremont.
Coleen loved the outdoors, which included gardening, watching nature, caring for her pets, camping and many bonfires. She had a great love for old cars, baking for the holidays, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robbie and Tommy Casey; and sister, Michelle Weiss.
She is survived by her fiancé, Keith Hines; sons, Tony (Beth) Shanahan and Sean (Jessica) Shanahan; brothers, Mike (Vikki) Casey, Jimmy Casey, and Pat Casey; sisters, Cathy Frisbie, Kelly (Marshall) Bruner, and Cheryl (Rick) Mason; and 20 grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M., Friday, October, 28, 2022 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, NE. A graveside service will be 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
