Obituary for Curtis Lockwood
Curtis C. Lockwood, 60 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 surrounded by family reminiscing about memories of the good times they had together.
Curtis was born January 12, 1962 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Rowell) Lockwood in Hannibal, MO. He lived in North Bend, Nebraska for a period of time and resided in Fremont, NE. Curtis worked for Bird Engineering and then Oilgear for 32 years. On February 22, 1986, Curtis married Deborah L. Prusia in Fremont, Nebraska.
Curtis was a former member of the Fremont F.O.E. Eagles Club. He played pool league for a number of years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed floating and catching catfish with his family and friends on the Elkhorn River. Curtis loved to host 4th of July parties and camp at the Sherman campground.
He is survived by his wife, Deb, sons, Bob (Desi) Jones of Macedonia, Iowa and Colby (Brandie) Lockwood of Fremont, daughters Kris (Eric) Hardy and Jen (Ryan) Lockwood all of Fremont, and sister Denise Richards of Howells, NE and 11 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son, infant grandson, Leland Lockwood, brother, Frank Lockwood and sisters Cheryl Jirovsky and Dorene Saylor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with visitation one hour prior to service. Chaplin Scott Jensen will officiate. Burial will take place at Ridge Cemetery following the Celebration of Life Service. Reception to follow after the graveside service at the Presbyterian Church 520 West Linden Street. Memorials may be directed to the family.
