Obituary for David Krom
David LeRoy Krom 71 of Morse Bluff, Nebraska formerly Ellenville, New York passed away Friday December 23, 2022 at Methodist Fremont Health. He was born December 30, 1950 in Ellenville, NY to Herman “Hipe” and Bernice (Porter) Krom.
David grew up in Ellenville and then serviced in the US Navy during Vietnam from January 28, 1969 to December 17, 1970 on the Navy ship US Shangri La. He was a truck driver for many years. David married Mary Pierce September 13, 1980 in Ellenville, NY. Mary preceded him in death in July of 2021. They lived in California for a short time in the late 1990's early 2000's. Then returned to New York. He came to Morse Bluff, NE in April of this year.
David loved Sasquatch and anything related to it. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. David was always laughing and loved joking around.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Billy Joe) Drake of Morse Bluff, NE; sons, Shane Krom and Jared Krom both of Kingston, NY, and Josh (Yolanda) Marquez of Ellenville, NY; brother, Stephen (Karen) Krom of NY; sisters, Charmista Krom and Cindy (Ed) Wilhelm all of Napanoch, NY, Sallyjo (Iza) Krom of Ellenville, NY, Tina (Tico) Torres, Debbie (Mailen) Towne and Sandy (Ron) Bush all of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; and 2 daughters, Erin Krom-Cruz and Katelin Krom.
There will be no local services at this time. He will have further service back in New York state.
