Obituary for David "Too Tall" Mackey
David “Too Tall” Mackey, 56, of Snyder, NE, passed away, Thursday, April 7, 2022, as a result of an automobile accident.
David was born May 18, 1965, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Kent and Hazel (Brookes) Mackey. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1983 before graduating from Southeast Community College in Milford, NE.
David was a free spirit that traveled and resided in many locations. “Not all those who wander are Lost”. He took pride working as a Heavy Equipment operator and truck driver. “To Tall” was a Harley motorcycle enthusiast. He was a prolific reader. He lived outside of his comfort zone as often as possible and was fearless in life. “To Tall” lived life to the fullest.
David is survived by his girlfriend, Samantha Bears of Snyder; sisters, Elizabeth (Russell) Williams of Omaha, NE, and Susan Mackey Young of Springfield, Oregon; nephew, Mark Williams and niece, Grace Williams; step daughter, Kyrian Austin; and countless friends he met over the years and thru his travels.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate.
