George R. Anderson, 70 years, of Fremont, formerly of North Bend, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Omaha. He was born on April 2, 1950 in Wahoo, NE to Henry and Olga (McColley) Anderson.

George grew up in Colon, NE and attended Wahoo Public Schools, following graduation he attended Northeast Community College. He married Paula Johnston on June 22, 1973 at Wahoo Presbyterian Church. George was a welder for Valmont Industries and later a Building Materials Manager at Menards until he retired in 2011.

He enjoyed fishing, reading, wildlife, Nebraska Football, and will be remembered for “starting” projects.

George is survived by his daughters; Jessica (Scott) Wilson of Omaha, NE, Stephanie (Chris) Hansen of Lincoln, NE; ex-wife, Paula Anderson; brother, Charles Anderson; 4 grandchildren, Brooke, Jordyn, Caden, and Cloe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, TJ, Hank, and Louie.

Private graveside services will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at Woodland Cemetery in North Bend, NE. Visitation in Fremont, NE will be Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel from 5-7 PM.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
