Georgina “Jean” A. Mruz, 95, of Fremont, NE, passed away, March 12, 2022, at Methodist Fremont Health.

Jean was born February 22, 1927, in Omaha, NE, to John and Victoria (Orzechowski) Kurtz. She married Walt Mruz on May 1, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1995.

Jean was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont and St. Joan of Arc.

Jean is survived by her children, Helen Mammola of West Chesterfield, NH, Bart Mruz of Phoenix, AZ, Bernie (Lynn) Mruz of Fremont, Bill (Kim) Mruz of Fremont, and Mary (Ed) Granger of Fremont; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walt; and grandson, Andy Mruz.

Private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont.

Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Bellevue, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are directed to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont, St. Jude’s, or Shriners Transportation.
