Obituary for Harold Peters
Harold W. Peters, 96, of Hooper, NE, passed away, Saturday, January 30, 2021, at the Hospice House in Omaha.
Harold was born July 3, 1924 at Hooper, NE, to Leo and Louise (Weiland) Peters. He graduated from Hooper High School. After school Harold farmed south of Hooper until 1975. He also owned and operated Peters Welding in Hooper and Fremont. Harold married Phyllis Ranslem on September 14, 1947, in Hooper. Phyllis passed away on January 1, 1998.
Harold was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper. He was secretary of District 48 rural school of Hooper for several years. Harold spent four years on the Hooper Co-Op board.
Harold is survived by his sons, Larry (Joanna) Peters of Council Bluffs, IA and Joe (Candy) Peters of Red Cloud, NE; daughter, Patty Grunke of Lincoln, NE; 9 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis; brother, Aaron Peters; grandson, Nathan Peters; and son in law Richard Grunke.
The funeral will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper with Rev. Klint Stewart officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.
Burial will be at Hooper Cemetery in Hooper, NE.
