Obituary for Jeanine Tillman
Jeanine F. Tillman, 91, of Fremont, NE. passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at her home.
Jeanine was born June 9, 1929, in Fremont to Maurice and Laura (Suhr) McDonald. She graduated from Scribner high school in 1947. Jeanine married Jimmy L. Tillman April 24, 1949 at Grace Lutheran Church in Hooper, NE. The couple managed roller skating rinks in Hawarden, IA., and Slayton, MN. They moved back to Fremont where they resided for most of their lives.
Jeanine was an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting with oils and watercolors. She received numerous awards for her artwork. She was a former member of Salem Lutheran Church. Jeanine was a member of the Fremont Art Association, was an avid Houston Astros fan and enjoyed competing in dance competitions with her husband.
Survivors include sons, Kelly (Lou) Tillman of The Woodlands, TX, and Michael (Cheri) Tillman of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Ashley and Sarah Tillman and 10 Adopted grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy; parents, and brother, Neil McDonald.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, NE. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, NE.
