Obituary for John Feldballe
John William Olson Feldballe (aka Jack) was peacefully called to heaven on October 4, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Jack was born on July 30, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Carl Schurz High School. Jack met his wife Marianne, at Mayfair Bible Church and married in 1957. They would have celebrated 65 years of marriage on October 12th.
Jack graduated from the University of Chicago School of Business in 1972. He was a successful business and financial executive holding leadership positions with Chicago Public Schools, Urban Investment and Development Company and Daneman Realty. He maintained and held interests in several small businesses until his retirement in 2002. As a man of deep faith, Jack and Marianne were charter members of River Glen Presbyterian Church in Naperville. In 2017, they moved to Bennington, Nebraska to be closer to family. Patriarch of the Feldballe Family, he was a loving and committed husband and father. His happiest times were spent when all his family was gathered in their Bennington home.
Jack is survived by his wife Marianne (Jordan) as well as his son Tim (Karen) and daughter Cathy. Jack was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Amanda Pfeifer (Aaron), Adam Fitzhenry (Alyssa), Matt Feldballe, Kyle Feldballe, Jamie Feldballe, Julia Feldballe) and two great grandchildren (Harrison Pfeifer, Thomas Pfeifer).
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Elkhorn, NE
Family will receive visitors from 3-4:30pm on Saturday, October 15th at Hultgren Funeral Home (304 N. Main Street, Wheaton, IL) with a Celebration of Life from 4:30-5:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association for Tim Feldballe. Those attending the celebration of life are invited to a reception immediately following. For headcount purposes, please RSVP to Amanda Pfeifer at pfeiferamanda@gmail.com.
