Obituary for John Starlin
John W. Starlin, 63 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.
John was born on March 26, 1959 to Charles and Rachel (Hawk) Starlin in Winnebago, NE and was part of the Santee Sioux Nation Tribe of Niobrara, NE. He grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School, class of 1977. After high school, he attended heavy machinery operating school in Kicking Horse, MT. On September 3, 1994, he married Jerrolin Granger in Las Vegas, NV.
John loved spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, attending Husker games and Jimmy Buffet concerts. John also enjoyed playing the lottery and had good luck a few times.
He was preceded in death by his father; father-in-law, Harry Granger; and niece, Kristie.
He is survived by his wife, Jerri; step-daughter, Stacy Newill; mother, Rachel Starlin; brothers, Randy (Leann) Starlin and Rodney Starlin; sisters, Faye Starlin, Deb Long, and Cora Lee Starlin; mother-in-law, Jeannette Granger; grandchildren; Chandra, Logan, Nevaeh, and Charleigh; and niece, Summer.
Memorial Service will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 30, 2023 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Sean Tyler will officiate. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
