Obituary for Lowell "Pat" Barrett
Lowell "Pat" L. Barrett, 75, of Fremont, NE, passed away, Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Methodist Fremont Health.
Lowell was born June 30, 1946, in Wahoo, NE, to Leslie and Helena (Jacobs) Barrett. He married Kathleen “Kathy” Stolley in June of 1972. Lowell lived in Cedar Bluffs, NE, and Papillion, NE, before residing in Fremont. Lowell worked for the city of Fremont for many years before retiring on June 29, 2012. While he was employed for the City of Fremont he bravely rescued individuals impacted from the Pathfinder explosion in Fremont.
Lowell enjoyed western movies, NASCAR, working as an arborist, and especially spending time with his loving family and friends.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Kathleen “Kathy” of Fremont; daughters, Joye Schiermann of Omaha and Tricia (Ron) Hineman of Fremont; grandchildren, Kylie Schiermann and fiancé’ Trevor Pentzien of Ohio, and Lucas Schiermann of Colorado. 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Helena; son, Daniel “Danny” Barrett, and sister, Joyce Wagner.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
