Obituary for Marcelino Hernandez Dominguez
Marcelino Hernandez Dominguez, 70 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.
Marcelino was born June 22, 1951 to Francisco Hernandez and Abestina Dominguez in Acapulco Mexico. In 1971, Marcelino married Anita Montoya in Mexico. Marcelino lived in San Francisco, CA for a number of years and worked for Artichoke Casino and drove cars for the Airport. The family later moved to Colorado, where Marcelino worked as a gardener. He then moved his family back to Nebraska and worked for Hormel, a dairy farm in Arlington, NE, and worked in construction. One of his favorite jobs was selling cookware for Royal Prestige.
Marcelino loved his plants and gardening, and especially his fruit trees. He had a love for music and had a large collection of stereos. Marcelino also loved to go fishing in Yankton, SD, Wanahoo, Calamus, and the Fremont Lakes. He also enjoyed playing cards including Texas Holdom and spades.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; sons, Daniel (Alicia) Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, and Ramiro (Azucena) Hernandez; daughters, Maria (Juan) Valdivia and Flor (Victor) Hernandez; brothers, Ines Hurtado and Bartolo (Cira) Hurtado; sisters, Ofelia (Filognio) Hurtado, Petra (Alejandro) Hernandez, Angela Hurtado, Irene (Guillermo) Hurtado, and Antonia Hernandez; 17 grandchildren, 9 ½ great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. A rosary will start prior to the services all at Moser’s. Burial will take place in Mexico.
