Obituary for Marcella ""Sally"" Kmiecik (Snyder)
Marcella A. “Sally” Kmiecik, age 84 of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly North Bend, NE, passed away, Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Morse Bluff, NE. She was born November 26, 1936 in Page, NE to Daniel and Darlene (Smith) Snyder.
Marcella was raised at Orchard, NE and graduated from Orchard High School. She married Joseph “Joe” Kmiecik on November 22, 1954 at Plainview, NE. After marriage they lived in Plainview until moving to Fremont in 1962, North Bend in 1964 and Omaha in 1975. She worked at Weldon Industries in North Bend from 1977-1987 and Planner Pads from 1988-2004 in Omaha.
Marcella was a former member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in North Bend, Life Member of both the VFW Auxiliary #8223 of North Bend and Morse Bluff American Legion Auxiliary #340.
Marcella is survived by her sons, Robert “Bob” Kmiecik, of Omaha and Todd (Helen) Kmiecik of Diberville, MS and Brett Kmiecik (Rhonda) of Yutan, NE; daughters, Beth (Ralph) Pflasterer of Lincoln, NE, Patty (Terry) Heavican of Omaha, Karma (Dave) Amison of Morse Bluff, and Stacy Vieth of Omaha; sisters-in-law, Patty Snyder of Lincoln, NE and Laura Kmiecik of Norfolk, NE; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marvyl Lockwood and brother, Milo Snyder.
Memorial Mass will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, February 19, 2021 at St. George Catholic Church in Morse Bluff, NE. Rev. Fr. Dennis Hunt will officiate. Memorial visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church.
Interment will be at Killian Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to North Bend VFW & Fire Department and the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha.
