Obituary for Marlin Ellerman
Marlin N. Ellerman, 78 years old, passed away, May 12, 2023, at his home in Fremont.
He was born July 5, 1944, in Fremont, to Leonard and Laura (Quandt) Ellerman. He served in the US Army from 1965 until 1968. Marlin was employed at Hormel Foods and retired when he turned 62 years old.
Some of Marlins favorite hobbies include fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time outdoors. He relished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Marlin is survived by his daughters, Jeanette (Rick) Walker of Columbus, NE, and Marcy Ellerman of Fremont; sister, Venetia (“Oogie””) Schneider of Fremont; grandchildren, Andrew, Brittany, and Crystal; great grandchildren, Jaxon, Mayleigh, Briella, and Camden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Renee Alcott; 3 brothers, Leonard, Delray, and Gene; and 3 grandchildren, Nick Hall, Lindsey Cork, and Brandon Walker.
The memorial service will be 10 AM, Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Family receiving friends will be on Thursday 1 hour prior to the service at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Burial and military honors conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post #854 and American Legion Post #20 will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Snyder, NE at 1:00 PM Thursday.
