Obituary for Mary Schulzkump (Wooldrik)
Mary W. Schulzkump, age 80 of Nickerson, Nebraska passed away, Monday, May 3, 2021 at Methodist Fremont Health. Mary was born June 28, 1940 in Cedar Falls, Iowa to Chris and Marie (Suhr) Wooldrik.
Mary grew up at Scribner, Nebraska and lived also at West Point, NE. She was a cook at West Point Public School, Norfolk Catholic Schools, and Camp Calvin Crest near Fremont. She delivered papers for the Omaha World Herald and the Fremont Tribune for over 15 years. She married Delmer Schulzkump September 28, 1958. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2006.
Mary was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in West Point and current member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hooper, NE.
Survivors include, son, Delwin Schulzkump of Nickerson, NE; special friend, Joe Kotik of Nickerson; brothers, Lyle (Imogene) Wooldrik and Ervin Wooldrik all of West Point, NE; 3 grandchildren, Laurie, Louis and Lonnie Schulzkump; 7 great-grandchildren, Taylor, La Toya, Micaela, Kiya, Jeffrey, Dallas, and Diezel.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandson, Lucus.
Memorial Service 1 P.M., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Scott Jensen, Chaplain, Methodist Fremont Health, will officiate. Family receiving friends from 12:00-1 PM prior to the service. Interment at Memorial Cemetery, Fremont, NE.
