Obituary for Matilda Fees (Knight)
Matilda L. Fees age 71 of Fremont, NE passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at the O’Neill Care and Rehab in O’Neill, NE. She was born May 9, 1950 in Van Nuys, California to Edgar and Ida (Eckert) Knight.
She lived in California and Nebraska. She was a truck driver for Crete Contract Carriers in her early years, and then worked as a baker and cook at Walmart and Casey’ General Stores in Fremont. She also lived in Scribner, NE prior to going to O’Neill.
Matilda was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont and loved fishing and camping.
She is survived by daughters, Nicole Stoffregen of Atkinson, NE and Michelle Miller of Fremont; and 4 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside service will be 3 P.M., Monday, May 16th at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Pastor. Anthony Gerber will officiate. Reception will follow at Moser Memorial Chapel Social Room.
