Obituary for Melvin Vance
Melvin G. Vance age 86 of Ames, Nebraska passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. He was born December 23, 1935 in Fremont to Roy and Anna (Rayevich) Vance.
Melvin worked as a manager of hay mills. Weiser Mill and Debruce Grain Company retiring in 1990. He served in the US Navy in the 1950’s. Melvin married Donna Emge December 24, 1976 in Fremont.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Donna of Ames, NE; sons, James, Marvin, Wesly and Charles; step-sons, Kelly and Marty; step-daughters, Pamela, Beth and Gaylynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-son, Randy.
Private burial was at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
