Obituary for Richard "Rick" Buchta

Richard E. “Rick” Buchta, 56 years, of Fremont, NE passed away, Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his home.
Rick was born on December 12, 1965 to Richard D. and Iris A. (Frerichs) Buchta in Fremont. Rick served in the United States Army from April 19, 1983 to February 21, 1986, and was stationed in Germany.

Rick was an amazing and devoted father. Rick's life was full of music, with country being his favorite genre. Rick's idol was Merle Haggard. Rick played the bass guitar and was a lead singer for multiple bands with Desert Moon being one. Rick got a single hit released on the radio and won many country music festivals and trophies.
Rick loved animals. Rick has always had cats around his whole life. Rick spent a lot of time with his mother Iris.

When Rick was younger, Iris and Rick would travel up to Minnesota in Rick's grandfathers Mustang, so they could visit Rick's grandfather. Rick was always with his daughter Rina. They were the best of friends. Ricks daughter Rina Robinson was his pride and joy.

Rick loved sports with his sport teams being Nebraska Cornhuskers, Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Vikings being his favorite teams.

Rick will forever be remembered for his unique personality.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and uncles, Doug Frerichs and Richard Murphy.

He is survived by his daughter, Rina (Mark) Robinson of Fremont; sister, Toni R. Quinlin of Columbus, NE; 3 grandsons; and aunt, Donna Murphy of Fremont.

Burial will take place at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
