Obituary for Robert Chromy
Robert L. Chromy, age 71 of Fremont, Nebraska passed away, Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. He was born April 19, 1950 in Wahoo, NE to Stephen and Dorothy (Prchal) Chromy.
Robert grew up in the Morse Bluff and North Bend, NE areas. He married Sandra (Parr) on December 27, 1969 at St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend. Robert served in the National Guard. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement in June of 2010. He moved to Fremont in 1998.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bingo and keno.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters, Tammy (Mike) Zvacek of North Bend and April (Rick) Robertson of Hooper, NE; brothers, Steve (Audrey) Chromy of North Bend, Ed (Becky) Chromy of Fremont, and Donald Chromy of Morse Bluff; sisters, Kathy (Dan) Bauer of Morse Bluff and Jeanne (Mike) Quinn of Columbus, NE; 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Chromy, Jr.; daughter, Tonya Chromy; brother, Thomas Chromy; sister-in-law, Doris Chromy; and nephew, Nicholas Bauer.
Memorial Mass will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 21, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Private Family burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, near Morse Bluff.
