Obituary for Ronald Smith
Ronald Dale Smith age, 73 of Fremont, Nebraska passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at his home. he was born March 14, 1948 in Genoa, NE to John and Betty (Steele) Smith.
Ron grew up in Genoa and also lived in Omaha, and Valley before settling in Fremont. He was a car fanatic. He loved working on cars, collecting cars and watching cars race especially NASCAR. He also loved listening to country music. He serviced in the US Navy from June 24, 1965 to March 13, 1969 and was assigned to the USS America during Vietnam.
He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Martinez of Fremont and Katrina Smith-Greenfield (Clint) of Omaha; sister, Betty Jo Smith of Fremont; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher; twin daughters, Rachel and Roshelle; and brother, John Smith.
There are no services at this time per Ronnie's directive.
