Obituary for Steve Leedom

Steve G. Leedom, 67, of Fremont, NE, passed away, Monday, November 14, 2022, at Methodist Fremont Health.

Steve was born October 24, 1955, in Sioux City, IA, to Jimmie and Mary (Long) Leedom. He served in the U.S. Army from 1973 until 1977. Steve worked at Valmont Industries and worked as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired in 2017.

Steve traveled to wherever the fish were biting. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. When Steve was younger, he was active in softball and bowling. Steve had fun times line dancing and driving around the countryside in his camper. His dogs, Zeus and Ella were some of his closest companions.

Steve is survived by his 2 sons, Scott and Steve Leedom; brothers, Kevin, Doug, and Darryl Leedom; sister, Debbie Peterson; and 6 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kelly and Troy Leedom; granddaughter and husband, Alisa and Talon.

Memorial visitation with family receiving friends will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Saturday, Nov 19, 2022, at
Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. A celebration of life service will be held at the Sherman Reservoir on Memorial Day with military honors present.
