Obituary for Wayne Sandall
Wayne C. Sandall, 72 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE.
Wayne was born on March 2, 1951 to Elmer Jr. and Marion (Preston) Sandall in Sunnyside, UT. He graduated from Granite High School in Utah, class of 69’. On December 28, 1973, he married Julia A. Woolcott in Salt Lake City, UT. Wayne served in the United States Air Force from 1975 to 1996 as a computer programmer and retired after 20 years from Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, NE. In 2019, Wayne and his wife resided in Fremont.
Wayne enjoyed woodworking and was known as the Funny Grandpa who made everyone laugh. He was a history buff and enjoyed reading. Wayne loved BYU football and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Julia; daughter, Kathleen Marten (Joseph); sons, Barry Sandall (Shannon), Ian Sandall (Lisa), Benjamin Sandall (Autumn), Colin Sandall (Anna) and Kyle Sandall (Bronwyn); grandchildren, Madison (Chandler), Carter, Garrett, Aria, Liam, Tavus, Oliver, Meadow Rose, Morgen, Tyler, Sarah, Vanessa, Christopher, Layla, Elinor, Henry, and James.
Funeral Service will be 11 A.M., Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fremont, NE. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church.
Burial will take place 10 A.M., Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
