Obituary for Wilbur Deal
Wilbur T. Deal age 83 of Fremont, Nebraska passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Methodist Fremont Health. He was born November 23, 1938 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
He grew up at Fort Dodge, IA and served us in the US Army. After the military in 1983 he came to Fremont. He worked at Hormel in Fremont for many years before his retirement. Wilbur married Mary “Peg” (Guggisberg) on September 4, 1982 in Fremont.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Roderick (Jiggs) Deal of Ft. Dodge, IA, Todd Deal of Clive, IA and Mike (Shawnda) Omann of Ft. Dodge, IA; daughters, Danielle Matthies of Fremont, Theresa Omann (Jeanett) of Ames, IA and Shelly (Jeff) Goracke of Fremont; brother, Eddie (Colleen) Deal of Ft. Dodge, IA; sister, Janet of Duncombe, IA; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; sons, Roderick Deal and Tim Omann; and brothers and sisters.
Celebration of Life service will be later this year.
